Alfred Victor Barrow b q3 1886 Harrogate, Yorkshire

I've found that the above emigrated to NZ 29 Dec 1924 from Retford, Notts (home address) via Greenock, Scotland to Wellington, New Zealand, on Aorangi. Also found a cemetary record for A V Barrow at Ruru Lawn, Canterbury which gives death as 24 Apr 1972. However, it says that he was in the 1914-18 war in AFC which presumes he was in Australia at that time? My last record is at 1911 in UK living in Croydon other than the emigration record.
Do you think it is the same person, and if so did he marry and have any children there?

It is definitely not the Albert Victor BARROW who married Delia Jane CLAPHAM in 1922 as a typo. He definitely was Albert Victor and their marriage was two years before Alfred Victor arrived. They are my great aunt and uncle.

FindMyPast has an Alfred Victor Barrow traveling from Greenock 29th Dec,1924,his last UK address was ?Stenton le Steeple,Retford,he was contracted to land in Wellington and gave his occupation as traveller aged 36 country of permanent residence NZ,country of last permanent residence was "Other parts of the British Empire"

The Archives New Zealand file I referred to earlier, relates to Lieut. A. V. BARROW - A.F.C..
A letter on file, dated 15 July 1920, seeks authority (from Canterbury NZ Army District) to issue a rail pass to abovenamed undischarged Australian soldier who is on sick leave.
[A note scribbled on side of letter says " If New Zealander, issue pass".  ]
Best you read file and try and make sense of it.   

But it does seem that Albert Victor was in NZ for a time in 1920.
