Parkers of City of London/Finsbury/Ely missing from 1881 census
« on: Sunday 11 October 15 14:44 BST (UK) »
Hello

I'm looking for some help tracking down the Parkers in the 1881 census, I've looked and looked and can't find them. I've also checked the missing records for this census and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have been in Camberwell are where the missing records are from.

I'm looking for James Parker (b1838 Ely), Mary Ann Parker (b1842 Liverpool) and their son Charles Henry Parker (b1865 City/Clerkenwell)
They are on the 1871 census living at 2 Black Raven Court, City of London, where James' occupation is listed as boot/shoe maker.
Charles Henry gets married in 1887 and is living in Sun Street, Finsbury, he stays in London living in Mansell Street by the time of the 1891 census.

However James and Mary Ann in the 1891 census have moved back to Ely.

I've searched both the City/Finsbury and Ely census for 1881 but to no avail, can anyone help?

Thank you

Nigel

Why do you say he is possibly adopted  :-\    No need to answer that, I thought I recognised this family.  I did not find them last time I looked when we were looking for James & Mary (Ann Furlong)
