Cornelius and Alexander BLACHFORD lost in censuses

Cornelius BLACHFORD

He was born around 1823 in Brockenhurst.  He married Mary SHEPHARD in 1846 and I have him in the 1851-1881 censuses.  He died in 1884.  I have Mary in the 1891 and 1901 censuses.  She died in 1901.

However, I cannot find him in the 1841 census, when I hoped he'd still be with his parents.

Alexander BLACHFORD

Alexander was baptised 28 Sept 1856.  He married Rhoda COLLINS in 1884.  I have him in the 1861- 1911 census with the exception of the 1881.  He is NOT the Alexander in London/Surrey.

I've tried newspaper reports in case he'd been naughty and was in prison, but no joy there.  The only mention he gets is when a nursery maid stole a money box from one of his children in 1892.

The only mention Cornelius gets is as the father of Alice Jane when she married in 1875.

BLACHFORD is often mistranscribed as BLACKFORD.

Can anyone find Cornelius and/or Alexander in the censuses please?

Ancestry has an Alexander BLASHFORD, b. 1857, Brockenhurst, living in Brockenhurst as a servant in the household of a J L Popham .  Also there is a female 20yo "A Blashford, cook" in the same household.
