I am a direct descendant of the Shurmers also, born in New Zealand and but whole life in Australia.
Harriet Shurmer 1857- 1948 is my 2nd great grandmother and then my greats continued
William Shurmer 1826 - 1908
Elijah Shurmer 1791 - 1868
John shurmer 1748 - 1824
John Shurmer 1702 - and then following John, John, Richard then John etc etc
I am struggling to fine Burials. Grave stones or monuments for the shurmers in England. I've seen them passing away in Cheltenham or leckhampton or Cowley etc I have checked may databases and at dead ends all the time. If anyone from the shurmer line has any pictures of our greats or has a Facebook page open for descendants of the shurmers id really appreciate it.
