James Henry Hampton .. Photograph Please?

Is there anyone out there who can assist please?

Currently researching writing a history of Awarua Radio ZLB which was located between Invercargill and Bluff.  Was a P & T / Post Office / Telecom Coast Radio Station closed by the government in 1991.

Seeking any photographs or family information of:-

      James Henry Hampton.  Family came from Southbridge near Ashburton.  Born 1891 died 1962
      at Wellington.  Manager of Awarua ZLB 1926 -1929 and Wellington ZLW 1929 - 1942.  Became
      Controller of Pacific Communications at Suva 1942 - 1944.  Retired to Wellington where he died
      in 1962.  Cremated at Karori Cemetery.

My man is James Henry Hampton.  You have the right person with your second post about Wireless in the Cook Islands.  Was just in the process of putting up a link to his Military File from WW1 when your reply came in.

No do not believe that the man in Reply No 1 is my man.

My James Henry Hampton was in Wellington between 1929 and about 1942 then moved onto the Pacific in Suva for a year or two after that.  The person that you found is certainly related or a close family member. 

There seems to be a number of Hampton's around the mid Canterbury and Ashburton District.  On Archway NZ you can find another James Henry Hampton who had a Probate dated 1951.  This person it seems came from Leeston nearer Christchurch.
