St Marks Church, Walworth - where were the bodies reinterred
« on: Saturday 24 October 15 23:21 BST (UK) »
Hi guys,

I wonder if someone can help me please?

I have located the burial record of my 3rd great grandad Thomas Lamb who died in 1821 and was buried at St Marks Church, Walworth which was destroyed during the war and I have since found out that the bodies from the graves were exhumed and reinterred in Nunhead Cemetary and various others. Is there any records that exist of these reinterments to find out where he was moved to?. I know there wont be a gravestone for him as when these bodies were exhumed they were placed in a mass grave on top of one another but it would be nice to find his final resting place.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Ann
