What about Susan DUMONT buried in 1784 at St-Anne, Soho ?
« on: Wednesday 04 November 15 14:44 GMT (UK) »
How old was she at her burial and who were attending it? Was she the same personne as Suzanne DUMONT born on April 12th, 1706 at Octeville-sur-Mer (department of Seine-Maritime in France) and married with Jean HAUTOT at Notre-Dame-du-Bec on October 21st, 1726? This Suzanne DUMONT was from a French protestant family and was Jean Francois  (John Francis) Amand HAUTOT's mother. This last one married Mary Ann Elizabeth COTTREL at St-Matthew in Bethnal Green on April 28th, 1774? Thank you for your help.

If she was married to Jean Hautot her burial would be under the name of Susan/Suzanne Hautot.

No, according to the French habit at this time, at the burial like in other religious occasions, a woman kept her maiden name.

The burial record for Susan DUMONT on 19 September 1784 at St Anne Soho is annotated C (for 'child'), so unfortunately not the person you seek.

St Anne Soho is an Anglican church, and followed the Anglican practice of recording burials under the married name.
