Fakenham marriage 1819.
« on: Friday 06 November 15 16:39 GMT (UK) »
There are transcriptions on various websites showing a marriage on 16 Nov 1819 in Fakenham
between Robert Wright and Martha Lovett (or Lovell).
I can't find a site where I can view the original record to see if there are further details.  Without parents' names I'm stuck.

Does any kind Rootschatter perchance have access to the register to see if there are any details?

Fingers crossed!
Philip

(slaps forehead and says "DOH!!!" very loudly)   How did you do that?

All I got when I tried on FamilySe@rch was a summary and no camera icon to show there was an image available.  I'm going to have to improve my search skills!

Yokel, you are officially my Hero Of The Day - a thousand thanks to you.

  How did you do that?

How its done is

1. On the familysearch search homepage the screen splits in two. The right hand side says research by location
2. On the research by location side at the bottom in a reddish colour it says browse all published collections
3. Click on the browse all published collections and it takes you to a new screen
4. In the filter by collection box at the top left of the new screen enter an appropriate term eg Norfolk and enter
5. the search will bring up all the Norfolk records
6. Click to browse what ever set you want (note only the ones that say browse images can be browsed the others are indexed. However the good news is even for the indexed ones if you enter the term you want it will take you to a new page with the resulting records and you can click on which one you want either as a transcription or a photo of the actual record)
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.
