Does anyone recognize the placename in the attached image (from a 1868 birth registration)?

Jeanne

It does look like "Ballynaleigh" but I don't find it listed at http://www.thecore.com/seanruad/ or at http://www.placenamesni.org/ or at Ros Davies' wonderful site.

Can you tell me what parish it is located in?

Great - here's a bit more in place names for 2 different parishes, one in Antrim and one in county Down!   I have a similar thing myself with Newry, half of which is in County Down and the other half in Armagh!
