Galway O'Maras in Whitwick

Hello,

My descendant Philip O'Mara claimed that he was born in county Galway. He was born around 1840 and went to whitwick in Leicestershire with the rest of his family in 1849 or 1850. I would love to know which part of Galway he was from. I suspect it was eastern galway. His Father James was born in 1793. Mother Catherine in 1802.

IF RC then just a matter of looking through the RC registers for Galway... bit of work though
