Hi Peckham,

Thankyou sooo much for all the site information...I have information that my Thompson ancestors were baptised in Drumachose, C.O.I. and that they lived in the Pound lane area in the 1870's and 1880's....travelling to N. Ireland in August and am hopeful I may be able to locate one of the churches.  Thankyou so much for taking the time to respond....sincerely appreciate it!!!!

All the Best

Then you will be in a situation that many "fellow searchers" envy - actually being on the ground where you search interests have their roots. Might I suggest that you investigate "announcing yourself" to perhaps some of the organizations/individuals that may be able to help you, e.g., if you want to look at parish registers find out in advance whre they might be and what the procedure is for looking at them - even set up an appointment if required.

Good "hunting".

Hello Again,

Thank you for the advice, will most definitely do that!!!  I have recently found  my  maternal grandfather's relatives in Belfast and will be staying there most of the time but, will definitely be heading to Drumachose to work on my Paternal side while I'm abroad.  Once again thank you so much for taking the time to help me with my search.
