Hi Dundee,
I know that Rosa came to Australia 15th March 1859 arrived in Melbourne.
within the 1st year here she was pregnant with  twins born 1861 died 1861.Phoebe came along in 1864.
She married James in 1883 what happened in between time who knows. On Phoebe marriage cert it says New Zealand , maybe that was what she was told. I think maybe she was aborigine.

Hi all , Phoebe Constance Bevan was my Great -Great -Grandmother - Her mother was born an Earle - I have been researching her for a long time and have been unable to find her birth certificate. I have a strong feeling that she was aboriginal as I have photos of my Great Grandmother and Grandmother standing side by side and they are both very dark in their skin colour. My Grandmother died the year I was born so did not meet her but I have a few photos of her. I would love to find her origins as it says that her parents were from UK. Any information that anyone has would be amazing.

Hi Emma,
Phoebe was my husband's G G Grandmother also.
Her son Rubert was my husband's grandfather.
Was your grandmothers name Mazie April.
I also have been searching for many years and have found nothing.
I also think she was aboriginal.
I will go through my papers to see what i can find about Rosa Earle.
