Hi PMcK, I think you originally said your family  came via Walter Hume. Is that Walter son of George and Roda who married Isobel Purvis, or Walter brother of George? Cheers, Paul.

Thanks for the welcome, proberton. Yes, Walter Hume married Janet Edington in Kelso on 1 Aug 1897 [OPR Marriages 793/60/355 Kelso, page 355]. For some reason her named was recorded as Jannet Eddington, but the Clan Home/Hume database is correct. Cheers.
