George Ponsford

Does anyone have any information on George Ponsford b. 1807 in Chudleigh, Devon. I believe he was married to a Maria Marshall c.1839.

I have seen a couple of family that have him with the middle name of Heywood or Haywood, not sure if this is right.

I have his parents as Henry Ponsford and Richord Bolt.

Are you sure about the name of his mother?

Online trees have his mother as Mary Ann Heywood born 1773 Silverton, Devon. If correct that would explain his middle name.

This is what concerns me, that I might have gone down the wrong George's family..."my George" is the son of Henry & Richord (spelt correctly, but there are variations).

But need more information on his wife etc?

Have you found him in any census? It doesn't look as if he married Maria Marshall as that George's father was also a George, at least one online tree has gone wrong there.
