I have ancestors as above with children born 1830-40 era, baptisms in methodist records. I can go forward from there but have nothing backwards.
Townlands are ballylough, Castlecatt and cabragh/cavanmore.

Methodism took much longer in Ireland to become established as a separate denomination than was the case in England and elsewhere. Prior to the 1830s most Methodists in Ireland would have used the Church of Ireland for baptisms & marriages, and in some cases it was the 1870s before they used their own Ministers. So, prior to the 1830s, your families probably used Billy Church of Ireland. Unfortunately that church's early records were lost in the 1922 fire in Dublin.

There is a Daniel Kane/Cain in the 1826 Tithe records at Curramoney
Kane   Cain   Danl.   1826   Dunluce Lower   Billy   Curramoney or Billy [Coulramoney]
This is very near the Billy Church.
See Tithe applotment records on Bill McAfee's home page

Thanks Wyanga - that's him, or his dad, they had a 'Daniel' habit.
