German 1705 handwriting
« on: Monday 04 January 16 12:41 GMT (UK) »
Hi All

Looking for some kind help on this German handwriting from 1705.  I'm interested in the section on the left hand side next to the number 2.  I think the top line contains;

'... ober Jägerß hauß'

The document is an extract of a list of villagers of a place called Hüblingen who were asked to take an oath of allegiance to the Count of Nassau-Weilburg in 1705.  My ancestor, Philipp Schilling, lived there and was an ober Jäger.

Many thanks
M

Hi Mike,

sorry I can't read this. But I have another information for you. It is a site about a Schilling-family. In the download "Schilling-Kurier_2009.pdf" on the second site is Georg Philipp Schilling who studied forestry. Perhaps these are your "Schillings". On the top of the right site you can change language to english.
