I can't see any reference on the CWGC site to 'killed in action' or to Buckrose.  Where did you see those references?  From what I see on CWGC he may have died at home or at least in UK.

Information came from a close relative. The question is regarding Buckrose, could this have been a Military Hospital then?

The Times casualty list, printed Dec 10 1943, has him listed as "Died". The categories under which The Times lists Army casualties are "Killed"  (i.e KIA), "Died of Wounds", "Missing", "POW" and "Died".

"Died" implies either illness or accident, not due to enemy action.

Buckrose appears to have been a widespread registration district in east Yorkshire including places such as Bridlington. It could have contained one or more military hospitals, and the death certificate (as suggested) should give more clues.

Does the address where he died not help?

You can apply for a copy of his service record which might give you more information.
