William Richard Fisher

Im trying to find out more information on the above man!

I believe he married to a Cornelia Margaretha Easton Fouche in South Africa on the 6th of may 1907 they have a daughter called Minnie Fisher who was born in 1905.

I have the family on the 1911 census living at 46 the workhouse Cholsey Berkshire William is down as a gardener but after that i can't seem to find anything on them! On the 1911 census Cornelia is down as Margaret any help would be great.

No info given re his birthyear

Have you checked freebmd for Fisher births with mmn Fouche?

Have you looked for a death for him?

Have you checked the 1939 register?

Depending on his age - could he have served in WW1 - have you looked for a Medal Roll Index entry for him or possibly a death on www.cwgc,org

If Minnie was b 1905 - and they only married 1907 - could she perhaps be Cornelia's daughter from another relationship given the age difference

Sorry he was born in 1878 in Middlesbrough i have him in the 1881 1891 and 1911 censuses, i have tried to locate him in the 1939 register with no luck and i've also tried searching for a death but none stick out. I've also tried searching for a marriage for Minnie with no luck either.

I did think she may not be Williams child and Cornelia is down as a widow on the church register i also believe Minnie was born abroad as on the 1911 census it states South Africa cap town resident? It has Cornelia as Dutch and the states Minnie British by parentage? I'm not a 100% sure but i think it also states dutch by ethnicity for Minnie. From the 1911 census Cornelia's birth is down as 1866 she's age 45 on it, Minnie is down as 6 and William is down as 33 and been married for 6 years.
