Some more Italian resources here

Have you gotten the marriage record or death certificates for either of them?  These may have parents' names.  Also, you could try to order the original Social Security application for Letizia, which would typically include parents' names including mother's maiden name.  The information on doing this can be seen here - http://www.legalgenealogist.com/blog/2013/05/31/ordering-the-ss-5/

Carmine's immigration record indicates he was going to join his uncle.  If you could find that uncle, it may lead back to the previous generation.

Hi Tocco42,
I am the one who has a posting "Italian Research" on the forum and I try and help with Italian research as I live here.

If you do not have the BC, which would show the parents name and other info I can obtain them for you.

In replying it might be an idea to re-post on "Italian Research" so I can keep an eye on my searches here in Italy.

Steve :)
