1841/1851 Census - James Rippin
« on: Saturday 16 July 05 14:23 BST (UK) »

I would be grateful if someone could find James Rippin born in 1821 in Spalding, Lincs  in the above censuses, I am trying to find out who his father was and am hoping he might be in the same place on one of the censuses.
James' wife was Mary Ann - also born in Spalding.  Thanks, Jane

1841
Rippons Yard, Spalding
James RIPPIN 50 Clockmaker
Frances 50
Ann 25
James 20 Clockmaker
Joseph 15 Clockmaker
Benjamin 10
Ellen 7
Alfred 5
Old James was NOT born in Lincs; the others were.
AGES: 15 means 15-19, 20 means 20-24 etc.

I'm having trouble spotting them in 1851.

Dear Jeff,

Thanks for the info - could you possibly tell me where everyone was born so that I can try and find more about them.

Thanks,
Jane

Old James was NOT born in Lincs; the others were born in Lincs.

In 1841 it only said whether or not they were born in the county in which they lived.
