1901 census Margaret Williamson born c 1844

I am trying to find a Margaret Williamson in the 1901 census.

In 1891 she is living with her husband James and some of her children Isabella, Annie, Christine and Robert at Maverston, near Urquhart.

James died in 1895 and i have Christine recorded in 1901 staying with a married sister (not one of the above).  Margaret died in 1910.

I have been unable to locate the others.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Did she have a married daughter Elsie who she could have been living with in 1901 in Maryhill Lanarkshire??

I have had a pending note about this family for a wee while. There certainly was a daughter Elspet which would fit the age.  Also born Urquhart.

I think I need to spend some credits on Scotlands People to see the marriage of Peter McIntosh and Elspet to see who her parents are. If they are the wright family i will then look to see who Maggie, the niece is connected to. Very exciting.

Just seen your second post.  You seem to have the correct family but I had not picked up on them being transcribed as McDonald.  I do not have a copy of the original, just my own handwitten note.

Glad it's of use.   I couldn't resist and looked at the census image for 1881.  The family are all listed as Williamson but for some reason some have been transcribed as McDonald based on the name of the previous family on the census!!!   James's birth place is listed as Elgin

Have you looked at

Both Margaret & James are there & I see that there is a couple of poor relief records for her which might help track where she is in 1901.

Interesting about Libindx.
When I began my research i downloaded information from libindx which did not include the poor relief.    It was the same person but a different number.  I notice it no longer exists.

It's quite likely that one of the LIBINDX volunteers created a listing for Margaret's poor relief record, not realising that there was already a listing for her, and then someone else noticed, probably when inputting some new information, that there were two records for the same person, and amalgamated them. I've done that myself several times when working in LIBINDX. That would account for a number disappearing.
