Murder in Vancouver 1961

On the 29th November 1961 in the Burnaby area in Vancouver the murder of Edwin Ellis Selby took place possibly in his home in Fir Street, he died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Some information i have is that the person who killed this man was indeed his own son, is this true? and was this reported in the press at the time.
I would very much like to see a copy of any newspaper record if possibly, i live in New Zealand so not much chance of just popping down to the  library unfortunately.

Google newspaper archive has no 1961 newspapers for Vancouver.  Quite sure a request to either the Burnaby or Vancouver library for an article lookup would be easy since you have the dates for them to look up.

Happened to find this through google searching:

ROY ELLIS SELBY was charged with capital murder ...
... charged with capital murder on. November 30th, 1961, before Police Magistrate C.C. Bell at. Burnaby, and has been remanded into custody at Oakalla Prison.
