Hello I wonder if some one could have a look for a James Lambton Rawling or Rawlings and see if there is a Jane Elizabeth with him some time after 1920 in the New Zealand Electoral Rolls

Hello jakpeter

From 1928 they are sharing an address in Wellington.  He is listed as "engineer" (1928) / marine engineer in 1938 ... she is shown as "married".

From 1946 they are residing at Grass Street, Wellington ... however they are listed as "journalist" and "spinster" and similarly in 1949 and 1954.

By 1957 (and still at Grass Street) James is listed as a journalist and Jane Elizabeth as "married".

Hi ... just noting that Archives New Zealand (Wellington office) hold a Probate record for James Lambton RAWLING (1961) which gives his occupation as "Marine Engr."   
[Maybe the electoral roll listings 1946 through to 1954 showing occupation of "journalist" are incorrect ?? ]
