Wokingham Marriage 1677

I would be grateful of any help with the following Marriage:

Thomas Rance to Mary Pais 7 June 1677 at Wokingham.  I am trying to find out any information on these two people.

Any help with be greatly appreciated.

Sorry nothing about these two particular people but since you are this far back I assume that you have you have picked up all the various bits of history of the Rance family in the town.  i can recall a few without diving into the local library.

One of the books of pictures of old Wokingham shows a shop owned by the family in the town.  Rances Lane is named after the beershop (not the same shop) which used to stand on the corner and was owned by the family.  This later became a public house called the Plough, which still later moved to its current site half a mile down the road.

Thanks for replying to my post.  I do not know much of the Rance family history.  All that I know of my greatgrandfather, Thomas Rance, was that he was a baker at some time in his life [1860 - 1938 approx], also that he may have had something to do with the making of the weather vane on one of the Wokingham churches.  This 1677 marriage was just a stab in the dark after looking at marriages on the family search website.  I am coming to the conclusion that most of the Rances around Wokingham and Binfield are related at some point in the past.
