Mansell family
« on: Friday 05 February 16 19:38 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find some Mansell baptisms and two burials. All registered in Meriden

Parents Charles Edwin and Elsie Annie Mansell

Elsie Annie            born 1919
Charles H              born 1920        died 1921
James                   born 1921        died 1921
Florence Gertrude  born 1923
William Ernest       born 1924

They were living at Maxstoke but may have used a different Parish.
I know they may not have got baptised  but they must have had burials.

It isn't usual to find Parish Registers that late available online?

You'll have to check the original registers.

Okay thats great.I should be able to find the burials then.I couldn't remember what records they had for Maxstoke.I live 5 mins away. They have been closed all this week but are open tomorrow.Do you know what Bapt.records they have for Lowsonford because elsie might have been born there and so could the two males I know Florence was born Maxstoke.

Seeing the name William. Ernest  I immediately thought of my hero Nigel Manse racing driver!Totally irrelevant maybe. His name Nigel Ernest James Mansell. His father was Eric. He came from Worcestershire but it's only next door to Warwickshire.

Lowsonford is a village in the parish of Rowington.

You might find something there, as Warwickshire RO have Christenings 1638-1978.

Maxstoke Church works closely with Coleshill, with which it shares a Priest and Lay Readers.

War. RO have Coleshill Christenings 1538-1982.
