Edith Mary Godwin 1883

I am not sure if my post is in the correct forum or not. I am trying to find descendants of Edith Mary Godwin born 1883 in the Purton Union Work House.
I was told that she had married but unfortunately don't know to whom or when.  Any information would be much appreciated.

Hi in 1901 Edith Godwin aged 18 b Purton is a General Servant & Housemaid in Wellington Street, Weston Super Mare, Somerset
Census ref RG13/2326/82/20

In 1891 could she be the ADA M Godwin aged 7 b Purton shown as Grandaughter to a Daniel and Caroline Godwin at Workhouse End, Cricklade?

Hi yes Edith Mary Godwin looks to have married a John Gibbons Dec qtr 1909 Pontypool 11a 333

There are two births in Pontypridd 1914 and 1921 Gibbons/Godwin
There is also a likely birth March qtr 1911 11a 751 Pontypridd Edwin J Gibbons

Death Edith Mary Gibbons born 17th July 1884? died September 1975 Pontypridd v27 page 1365 aged 91

Hi! Yes, that's definitely the one!! After placing this post I started to look through the many, many boxes of snail mail correspondence dating back almost 40 years. And lo and behold, in one of the letters it said that she had married a Gibbons but nothing further was known. Wow, thank you so much. That's filled in a few blanks. Much appreciated.

Oops, almost forgot. What were the names of the 2 children born 1914 and 1921? The 1911 born Edwin may very well have been her child also as there was an Edwin in the family.

Hi again, why not try a look up on www.freebmd.org.uk Births Surname Gibbons Mother Surname Godwin with those dates ie 1914 to 1921?

Hi again, once you have the names, then click on marriages and put the 1914 or 1911/1921 one in and I usually search for a marriage at say 1934 to 1944 for the 1914 one, find the spouses surname click on the page number for her/his full name, then you start again on births surname/mother surname!?
