CHRISTCHURCH COPS ANOTHER EARTHQUAKE!

Hi all

Just fine and dandy here in Christchurch, lovely 30 deg day and another for tomorrow

Yes the shake came as a surprise and we are aware of more to come over the next 10 years or so.

Rattled nerves for many,  My neighbour was in tears and shaking like a leaf, it is most important to be close to your neighbours and check up on them and make sure they are alright.  Once again the East side with the cliffs took the brunt of the force.  I think it will upset a few who just had their homes fixed.

Shops, schools etc are back open today and will only close if anything is over a mag 5. 
Shame we can not have a weather forecast for quakes.

As Suzy said, a beautiful day and shake free so far.

I was at work in a retirement village, our biggest worry is a resident falling but all were fine. The residents took it all in their stride but the staff didn't!

I was sitting in reception with a huge chandelier above me that thought it should dance:( I moved my chair very quickly:)

14 Feb is my wife's birthday. We were up on top of the Port Hills in the Gondola Restaurant having a lunch for her. It sure shook up there but nobody injured.

Know the feeling Annie, we where in Vanuatu when we experienced a 7.5 earthquake, the ceiling fan above the bed at 4am was getting up speed from side to side.
