Sorry Keyboard. Her name was Diana Morris. I wondered if there were many bonnet factories, I tend to associate Leics with  boot and shoe manufacture around that time.

Corah and Son produced various items of hosiery and clothing, including bonnets - http://www.storyofleicester.info/cityheritage/companies/corah/

If Diana was the person born c1898, she had several neighbours in the hosiery trade.

The censuses also show other people making bonnets and sun hats, possibly in smaller factories.

Thankyou so much David for all that information. Yes that is the correct person thankyou. Would that have been the only bonnet factory ? If so that would be wonderful to have her workplace name. Kind regards, Sue.

There were other large manufacturers, two of which are mentioned here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolsey_(clothing)

However, the censuses show a lot of people working as milliners and so it might have been a small scale business.

A trade directory might be helpful. Some are available at - http://specialcollections.le.ac.uk/cdm/search/collection/p16445coll4/searchterm/Leicestershire/field/place/mode/exact/conn/and/order/nosort

Regards,
David
