Albert Stevens

Looking for the  birth and death of Albert Stevens......in 1919 he married Ethel Ayto, at Grantham, Lincolnshire.....I think that they lived in Northamptonshire, and are on the 1939 register.......I also think that Ethel Stevens died in 1973 at Spalding Lincs. although this is unconfirmed......does this mean anything to anyone ?.......Regards Del.

Given the couples child listed in 1839 matches a eldest child of the couple from a search of FreeBMD  it does look like the family in Northampton are the right one.

Albert Stevens in 1939 lists his birth date 26 March 1895 so a possible birth might be June Qtr 1895   Albert Stevens    Northampton 3b 93 with a possible death in Northampton in 1960 age 65

Kay

Edit There is a possible death for Ethel Stevens age 56 in Dec Qtr 1947   Northampton 3b  487

That's excellent, thank you, that is the name that I have, I believe that they also had a daughter, born later, possibly two, as well,......I think that it has to be them........Del.

If you search on FreeBMD for births with surname Stevens and mother's maiden name Ayto the couple had twin girls in 1929

Ahh......now that makes sense.....I have two daughters, born on the same day, with the same reference number....... Jean M.....Joan M.....I wondered if it was duplicated because of the similar names......but twins makes more sense........Thanks.....Del.

It could be just one child but there are two entries on the image if you click the spectacles at the end of the entry on FreeBMD to view the original image.  Also on the 1939 Register there are two further people listed after Eric who have been blacked out as they were born post 1916

That could be Ethel's death......in 1949 at the funeral of her brother Thomas Ayto, amongst the mourners was Bert Stevens (brother in law).......but no sign of Ethel......perhaps the death I have in 1973 at Spalding is wrong.......does it give Ethel's birth day on the 1939 ?........Del.
