Aberdwynant is just off the tally road.  Its a fantastic property just recently taken over by the national trust. A butressed farmhouse almost unmodernised.   It was farmed up to the point it was gifted to the trust.

There is a maerdy nearby which has been turned into holday lets.

Google national trust properties aberdeunant llandeilo.

Very good photo.

When i met the owner he said there had been a cottage near the school house that had been built in a similar fashion to aberdeunant. That had bedn moved to st fagins museum.

When i visited aberdeunant. The modernisation in the 1930s had been done in the  parlour only for the owners mother

I cant see the butress that so impressed me in the official photo.

As far as i know its visiting by appointment on certain days at certain times.

The owner still slept in the  loft up a ladder over the  kitchen which i think would have been the labourers bedroom earlier.

He was very tired of caring for it for the nation and longing for nt to take over.

Really worth seeing.

He was very spry for his age when i met him and could nip up the ladder and down again at speed.

You should visit.
