Belfast to Ayrshire

Hello fellow researchers

My grandmother was born in Belfast but her father and mother were from ayrshire.   Someone must have come over from Belfast at some time, any ideas where to start looking.   My grandmother was Catherine Mclauchlan, father John McDonald McLauchlan.

I will try to get more information.

Kathleen, it may be a good idea to ask Rootschat to move this post to the County Antrim &/or County Down board for you as depending whereabouts in 'Belfast' they came from, it would fall under one of these counties. Also, even if you have very little info to go on at the moment, an indication of approximate timescales would be of help for those able to check discs, records etc.
