Burial lists,St Peters Snedshill,Priorslee.

Hello all is there anyone who has the burial lists for St Peters, who could look to see if my
great great grandmother was buried there between 1871-1881.
She was Ann Dowley(married name)born 1840 she was a widow her husband was Samuel Dowley
but he was buried in 1867 in All Saints Wellington.
I have already had a search made for same church for her also Redlake Ketley but she is not there.
Her mother lived in the area with Ann's children in 1881 she was Elizabeth Buttery abt 1817 East Indies- 1892  she might also be buried at St Peters.

Is she on the 1871 census as I can't see any entry?

Have you found her death registration on freebmd?

If not - have you  ruled out a re-marriage?

The 1881 entry shows the childrens surnames as Dudley - but Samuel jnr's birth reg is Dowley

The 1871 for Elizabeth Buttery shows 2 Dudley grandchildren who are too old to be Samuel and Ann's.  One is Edward Moore Dudley b 1850 and the other Elizabeth Moore Dudley b 1852.

Samuel Dowley married Ann Casewell in 1857

Ann was the daughter of William & Elizabeth Casewell.  Elizabeth re-married to Samuel Moore in 1846

Thomas Buttery married Elizabeth Moore in 1864.  So where does the Dudley connection come from?

Hello CaroleW  I did find her once with my greatgrandmother Elizabeth Ann age 4 in Ketley
in 1871 when census was updated by my history site she seemed to disappear off there?.
I presume this to be an error.
Ann's mother Elizabeth was married 3 times to william Casewell abt 1835,Samuel Moore in 1846
and Thomas Buttery in 1864.
Elizabeth and Samuel Moore had a daughter Elizabeth baptism 1854 Wellington.
Elizabeth Moore married Edward Dudley in 1868 Shifnal reg.
I have yet to find a death or remarriage for Ann on the BMD.
This is the odd bit that the children are with their gran in 1881 with the name Dudley.
When children married under name of Dowley.
I have been looking for her for 3 years no luck.
I thought I would try the area where children and gran were in 1881.
It is a tough one.

Possibly a late baptism and she married at 15 or 16?

Length of marriage and age could be from 1911 census if both alive - and if married that early then likely.

She appears to be 19 in 1871, though.
