My LIDDELLs were all born at Wallington Ducket between 1737-1746.
Knowing a ducket is a local variation of dovecote, I wondered whether it was on the Wallington estate.
One day in the Wallington gift shop I asked the land agent (?) where it was or had been. He took me outside and round the back and showed me the area. So I guess they worked for the owner of Wallington at that time, maybe the Fenwicks or their predecessors.
Since then I've seen the old maps of the estate and some building drawings at Woodhorn. Must do some more on these rellies, interesting.
