« on: Saturday 02 April 16 11:26 BST (UK) »
Would some kind soul help me by finding a Walter Rogers born circa 1892-1895 in Kidderminster please?

I know he married a Susannah Smith in 1913 also in Kidderminster.

who were his parents and where did he live?

Thanks in advance for any help,  Enots

Hi

There is no Walter Rogers birth that would fit in Kidderminster RD around that time. There was one in 1894 but he died in infancy.  I assume you don't have the marriage details which should name his father

Where has the rough age come from please?

There is a Walter Rogers in Kidderminster born 1883 - do you know what occupation he had?

If he was around in 1939 with wife Susannah that should give an exact date of birth.
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

There is probate for a Walter Rogers of The Queens Head, Wolverley which would tie in with this death record - Admin to Susanna Rogers (Widow)
Dec qtr 1957
Walter Rogers age  74
Kidderminster reg dist    9d   1

This would put his birth c1883  and this birth registration

March qtr 1883
Walter Rogers
Kidderminster    6c   271

Just looking at that one Rosie - looks good.

The Walter born 1883 was a weaver.

Rosie,

The Later relatives ran the Queens Head in Wolverley for many years throughout my childhood and teenage years so I assume 99% that this is the right one. Thanks for finding this one out for me.           Enots.

Just goes to show that I should not always trust what is written on all these little pieces of paper that were passed down to me.

Thank you to everyone who helped find me out this information.          Enots.
