I see from the census that Nora was born Eltringham, so this may well be her baptism.  Mother listed as Mariae.  No father named so I would assume she was illegitimate.

Mary says she was born Spennymoor, so this may be her in 1881 in Low Spennymoor, Ferryhill. Transcribed as Mac Lian but looks like Macklin to me

Nora is not with James and Mary in 1891 but can't see another likely entry for her

James & Mary's marriage certificate should tell you her fathers name, but if the 1881 is your Mary then this could be her parents marriage:

Durham County Advertiser 20 May 1853
At Brancepeth church on Monday last by the Rev C H Ford, Mr William Machin to Miss Elizabeth Robson, both of Tudhoe.  William died in 1870 but the family can be found at Tudhoe in 1861 & 1871.

Another possibility is the death on 19 Aug 1873 of John McLean aged 54, a mason at Mickley Colliery who was killed when he fell from a scaffold.
