Henry SISSEN (or SISSON) 1710-1792
« on: Monday 11 April 16 11:41 BST (UK) »
did this Henry marry both
Sarah Sparke (1707-1751) on 24 Nov 1734
and Lydia Locksmith (1725-1812) on 30 September 1751?

Henry's burial entry describes him as a married man.

Any suggestions as to where he originated?

Could you tell us the parish(es) where the marriages occurred?
Have you seen the original registers or only transcripts?

Sometimes the registers give clues such as otp (of this parish) which may help narrow down where Henry originated.  If the 1751 register describes Henry as a widower this would be useful.
Please help me to help you by citing sources for information.

Hi Petros,,

It's entirely possible.

When Henry married Sarah Sparke, his home parish is shown as Sall.

Sarah Sisson was buried at Sall in 1751, and was the wife of Henry Sisson.

Henry is shown as a widower at his marriage to Lydia Locksmith, in Sall, later that year.

(All from Freereg, but the Sall Parish Registers are here)

Yorkslass thanks for the confirmation that he was a widower for the marriage to Lydia. I hadn't realised the IGI now had some films up to see.

Sarah. recently I seem not to have been receiving notifications of replies posted!
