advise on a picture please

Hi Guys

I was looking for some advise on this picture please. we know the younger girl on the right is my granddads mother, we have come across a picture of an older lady which we think could be his mother . what do you think?

There looks to be about a 20 year age gap in these & one is smiling & the other isn't which makes it quite hard.
It may come down to timescale ie. how old would your GGrandmother have been when these were taken. For that we would need to see all of the photo.

I think they are different people - the one on the left has a much larger chin (longer and more protruding) and possibly a slight under bite. At these ages (ie both adults) chins would not change drastically if at all. The fact that she one is smiling and the other is not I don't think would make a difference.

I agree with Ruskie. The one on the left has quite deep-set eyes too.

Agree about chin.
The lady with the motor car is more likely to be the person in the centre of the other photo.

Ok thats makes sense about her being the other lady in the centre. Thats her sister.

So all fingers pointing at the centre lady instead?

Yes, possibly the centre lady. Her face is fuller as she is younger, but the chin looks promising.
