England 2 Canada in their 60's & 70's
« on: Wednesday 20 July 05 11:52 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to my trace ggg grandfather & mother, born 1802 & 1809. They emigrated to Ontario, Canada between 1872-1875?. In 1871 they were still in Barton Upon Irwell(Eccles), as John and Elizabeth Manley. On Drywood farm with 3 servants.

I don't know their port of departure or arrival, but anything that could be of any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time,

Pea pod.

All from cheshire and Lancashire.

Hi Pea Pod,
Any idea what part of Canada they went to? As they were quite old to be emigrating, I wonder if they were going to join grown-up children who had emigrated sometime earlier.
If you have any names and ages of children, it might help.
The more names, the better the chance of finding them.

Cheers,
Carmela
