Joseph Henry Garrard

As I was only 12 yrs when my dad died, I got the army records and my dad's birth cert. but it only had his parents name on it. Now realised that at one stage he went under the name of Henry and my mother was his 2nd marriage. Info provided has confirmed what little info I had, and now would like to move back further. Have no info where William Garrard was born, or info re his parents: James and Susan.

"A man named William Garrard employed near Cockburn on the Silverton Tramway, was filling cartridges yesterday when one exploded severely wounding his left hand."
