George Curtis born abt 1811

Hi,

I am trying to locate a few things about George Curtis, I have found him in the England census for 1851,1861,1871, I am trying to find a birth or baptism record, and his parents/siblings names.

the info I currently have is:

George Curtis born abt 1811 (from the censuses) in Charlton, Wiltshire, England

He married Honor Pitt 16 Oct 1842 (1819-1892) in Little Somerford, Wiltshire, England

He died 26 Jan 1879 in Little Somerford, Wiltshire, England

He had 6 or 7 children, one was Ellen Curtis (1843-1896)

Looks to me that he was Widowed by 1841 Census.

ELIZABETH, 20 March 1836
EMMA, 8 Oct 1837^^^^ (does not appear 1841 Census, maybe with Grandparents)

Emma appears 1851 with George/Honor age 13

1851 Census Elizabeth and Fanny are easy to find and are Servants.

Yes, you are correct.
It looks to me that he was Married to a Sarah before Honor.

If you buy the M/C of George/Honor you will get the answers you require.

Emmas Birth is on WiltsBMD 1837, Mothers maiden name BARNES

Ignore the 1841 Census I posted earlier for Emma Curtis;

1841 she is with her Grandparents.
It must if been too hard for George to look after 3 little Girls after their Mother died until he remarried.
By 1851 she is living with George/Honor.
