Good morning
I'm afraid I've a hit a long standing brick wall and would love some help

My great grandad Thomas Pearson  was born in1893somewhere up north. On his wedding cert he married a Christina McKenzie in 1913 Houghton le spring. His occasupation was a driver in the rfa. His father was also called Thomas Pearson who was a miner.  He died in Doncaster in the 60s. That's all the info I have I'm afraid

who were witnesses on marriage ??
also if you could find marriage report in local newspaper that may give details of relatives
Also if funeral report found it may list relatives -maybe siblings???

Thomas Pearson is not an uncommon name so any extra information could help

Hi Ian,

Unfortunately there is more than one Thomas Pearson - with a father Thomas on the 1901 census in the north - I can tell you that on the 1939 register  he was in Doncaster at 45 Poplar Place - his actual birth date was 18 June 1893 - so his birth would have been registered in EITHER Q/E June 1893 - or Q/E Sept 1893. (Wife 'Christine' is with him birth date 27 Dec 1893).

So that could cut down the number of birth registration possibilities.

There is a Thomas Pearson aged 7 in Benwell in 1901 - with father Thomas aged 34 -- mother Margaret and brother John aged 9. Thomas aged 7 was born Benwell.
The father is a Coal Miner and hewer, born Hexham. (I think!)
RG13/4776

That's one possibility!

Have you checked where his wife Christina was in 1911 -- you would think they may be living fairly near to one another.
