I've been doing some research and one of my ancestors lived and worked in Broughty Ferry between 1886-1901 as a merchants clerk. I just wondered if anyone knew any local history about that time, living conditions, the type of work he did etc. He moved around the country quite a bit working as a shipping clerk, and then s coal exports manager. Any thoughts...
