1901 census lookup over staffs/worcs/warwick
« on: Thursday 21 July 05 13:51 BST (UK) »
Hello I didn't know where to put this lookup request and as far as I can see I can't cross post so here goes.

I am looking for Jacob 1875 and Sarah c1876 Woodhall who were born around the Dudley area.  I know they had a daughter Elizabeth in 1899 as she was my Stepfathers gran.  When I look on the 1901 census index I can find Jacob and Sarah and they seem to be living in Tipton Staffs but their daughter seems to be living in Birmingham Warwick.  I will pay to have a look when I get home but in the meantime is there anyone who can solve this for me?
Eccleston, Farmer, Hampton, Ridgway, Hayward, Brough, Walker, Horn, Hardwick (Hartwig), King, Hibbard.  Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Devon, London.

Well thanks for that I would never have got that!  Crikey they didn't half play around with their names back then didn't they?  :D :D

Johns called Jack, Margarets called Peggy, Elizabeths called Eliza, Lizzie, Betsy and now Nellie, James's called Jacob, Anns called Nancy I could go on and on!  :D :D
