where did you find Schofield/Lane marriage with 3 births 1920, 1922 and 1923 please? Sounds like closest info but my aunt and her sister were born 1923 and 1924 and they never lived with there mother, not sure why??

Reason I ask is ? - There is a possibility Alice (married name Schofield) was born

a spinster -
then the only time when the fathers surname is different from the bride's birth surname is illegitimacy and if widowed then her surname would be formally a married surname on a marriage certificate
