Yes, dates are a bit off  :)... having trouble finding Agnes's obit.  Perhaps not in 1964??

John Sweetman died Dec 23 2006 in his 88th year.  Husband of the late Del (Catherine Adela Snape).  Father of J L Sweetman, grandfather of N Anderson (her husband is C).  Great grandfather of E.

Canada Voters List 1957 shows John G Sweetman (salesman) and Mrs Adela C Sweetman - 6 Pell Street

1963 Voters List -  Adela is described as a cost accountant. John Sweetman (sales) - Apt 606 Kennedy Road Scarborough York Ontario.

The privacy laws are quite strict in Canada so Run Kitty has done you proud, trawling newspapers and searching for those obits.

Dudley Gerald Snape seems to have a sister Grace Marguerite Snape born 1894 who immigrates to Canada - Liverpool to Quebec on the Grampain - 1 July 1916. Going to brother manager Hudson Bay Co.

Have you any further info on Grace ? THere is an anc tree which says - passed away 1975 - married - ? Zagar - Toronto  ???

Thanks Sandra... finally found Agnes (didn't work with her name, so had to be creative).. having a narrow date range really helped.  Would never have found the obit without your help :)

Agnes died suddenly on July 11 1963, while visiting in Chichester England.  Agnes (Kit) Snape, wife of the late Dudley G Snape, mother of Adela (Mrs John Sweetman) and Dudley.  Grandmother of L (the J L from other obits), G, D, J, K and S.  Sister of Anne (Mrs S Wellington of Chichester), Phyllis (Mrs R Williams), Charles Gillies of Penarth, Wales, Andrew Gillies of Detroit Michigan.  Cremation service at Chichester, Sussex, England.

Globe and Mail, 16 July 1963, page 35
