informations about Macrae/Holmains

I'm looking for informations about my ancestor James Macrae of Holmains and the estate of Holmains. He had connections to the house of the grand duke of Braunschweig (near to Hanover, Lower Saxony) and died 1820. Does anyone has photos of Holmains or details about the name Macrae in this region?
