Is there or was there a place called Kingston Bonsey, Sussex in 1610

I am reading a will as per the attached clipping;  a transcription notes the abode of Morgan Newington in 1610 is Kingston Bonsey.

I have searched some old maps but unable to locate such a place however I did locate a place called Kingston by Sea and I am wondering others opinions.

Hi,

I wonder if it is an old way of spelling / saying Kingston Buci - near Shoreham in Sussex?

I can't read the rest of the will at the moment as I'm using my iPad so I don't know how likely that would be?  There is another Kingston over near Lewes too.

I think it sounds phonetically like Kingston by Sea.

It is Kingston Bowsey (here spelled Bousey) and associated with the Newington family, amongst many other Sussex families.  It lies between Southwick and Shoreham and was originally 'Buci'  as Liz says. From its pronunciation it was assumed in the the past to mean 'by sea.'
