What religion was he?

RC registers are online, free
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

You've got his marriage certificate. Did he marry in a Roman Catholic or Protestant church?

If you tell us the name of the church they married in (exactly what it says) that will be suffice.

This thread is on the SLIGO board but the other is on IRELAND. Really not a good idea to have more than one topic as duplication causes needless confusion and extra work.

I dont know what the church was i dont know the difference , if you give me the site to search the cathlic records i will look there
The marriage certificate will give that place the marriage took place- was it a church or registry office?

Civil registration of births in Ireland started in 1864

Online Catholic Parish Registers are here but you'll need to browse by parish-
