Henry S. Etches
« on: Friday 22 July 16 17:40 BST (UK) »
I'm researching the life of a distant ancestor of mine: Henry Samuel Etches. He was a bedroom steward on the Titanic and survived the ordeal by being ordered into a life boat to row away passengers. He continued to serve at sea until 1932 and then with his wife Lillian retired to Pershore. He died at his home at Eaton Villa, Station Road, Fladbury on the 29th September 1944, aged 74. Wife Lilian died around 10 years later on the 19th February 1954 at Whites Orchard, Lower Moor, Pershore. I would like to discover where Henry and Lilian are buried. I would imagine in the Pershore area but so far my inquiries of local churches have drawn a blank. Can anyone help me please?

By the dates you mention many burials took place in municipal cemeteries rather than churchyards.

Have you made enquiries at the Town Hall regarding burials at Pershore Cemetery?
