Llansamlet baptism
« on: Tuesday 02 August 16 22:47 BST (UK) »
Hi

I have found out that my grandfather, David Thomas Davies, was baptised in the parish of Llansamlet in 1912.  I was wondering  how I can find out at which church he was baptised; there are several in the Llansamlet parish.  Records show he was baptised by the curate WG Jenkins.
Many thanks,
Nicola

Which records are they?

What was his full birthdate and who were his parents?

Hello

I found the information on the Glamorgan baptism section of 'find my past'.

His birthdate was 24 June 1912. His parents were Thomas and Catherine.  baptism is showing as 5 sept 1912.

Thanks you for responding,

Nicola

Thank you anyway.  I guess I'm hoping someone can match the curate to a particular church!

It looks like the Glamorgan FHS have provided the info so if you don't get any response here,  you could contact them to see if they can help you with the info

William George Jenkyns, spelling as on the register, was curate of Llansamlet, so the baptism was more than likely in the parish church, St Samlet. The curate was born in Llandudno, birth registered as William George Jenkins dec qtr 1887 Conway vol 11b pg 457
